Conscientious Objector!

No particular reason for this one, just trying to give conscientious objection the martial glamour it deserves but currently lacks. My great great uncle was a conscientious objector during the First World War, served as a stretcher bearer and won the MC.

    Fantastic! Yes, my Grandad and Uncle Stanley were COs too- Grandad worked as a school teacher and Uncle Stanley as a farm labourer, but a family friend who wasn’t a Quaker was imprisoned for his stance…
    oh, and you promised me this drawing- remember! x
